Every Shariah-compliant card CIMB Islamic currently offers, with the contract behind each one and the fee schedule it came from.
A fully Islamic bank — every product it offers is Shariah-compliant.
Islamic banking arm of CIMB Group. HEADLINE FACT: CIMB Islamic converted the Shariah concept of ALL its consumer credit cards from UJRAH to TAWARRUQ (Commodity Murabahah) effective 1 JANUARY 2026 — announced by Important Notice dated 21 November 2025, with an Update dated 31 December 2025, and stated by CIMB to be 'closely guided and monitored by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)'. Cardholders were not required to act: continued use was deemed agreement to the conversion, including appointment of the Bank as the cardholder's agent for the commodity trading arrangement, and to the revised CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad Credit Card Terms and Conditions dated 1 January 2026. CIMB states the conversion has no adverse impact on existing fees and charges, benefits, features or services. No evidence of Bai' al-Inah was found in any CIMB Islamic credit card document. CARD COUNT: 4 active consumer credit cards-i, enumerated authoritatively by CIMB's own conversion FAQ ('Yes. All CIMB Islamic Credit Card-i will be covered under this conversion') and corroborated by the annual fee table in the Product Disclosure Sheet dated 1 January 2026 — CIMB PETRONAS Visa Platinum-i, CIMB PETRONAS Visa Infinite-i, CIMB Platinum-i Mastercard, and CIMB Preferred Visa Infinite-i. All four carry a WAIVED annual fee on both principal and supplementary cards. A fifth card, CIMB Lite-i, is announced as 'coming soon in October 2026' with no published terms. The CIMB PETRONAS Platinum-i Credit Card was DISCONTINUED (notice 7 October 2024; benefits changed 28 October 2024; cards cancelled from 30 June 2025 onwards). The CIMB Enrich card family (Platinum, World, World Elite) was discontinued on 1 April 2023 and had NO Islamic variant. Searches found no CIMB World Mastercard-i, Cash Rebate Platinum-i or Visa Signature-i. UNIFORM PRICING: all four active cards share one Product Disclosure Sheet — Ceiling Profit Rate 18% p.a. over a 5-year tenure, effective profit rate tiered 15% / 17% / 18% p.a. on retail by prompt-payment record, cash advance 18% p.a. on daily rest, ta'widh up to 1% of unpaid balance (min RM10, max RM100), overseas conversion at network rate plus 1% administrative cost, card replacement RM10 first then RM50, cash advance fee waived until further notice, and RM25 service tax on each new principal and supplementary card upon activation and annual renewal. Applicants aged 21 or over who cannot prove annual income must pledge a Fixed Deposit-i equal to the credit limit. The Wakalah fee is absorbed by the bank. Shariah Committee membership listed here is the set of members with individual profile pages on CIMB Islamic's own site; the leadership index page is JavaScript-rendered and could not be enumerated, so this list may be INCOMPLETE — treat it as honest partial coverage, not a full roster.
