Who Affin Islamic Bank are

A fully Islamic bank — every product it offers is Shariah-compliant.

Affin Islamic runs the widest single Islamic credit card range found in Malaysia: one Product Disclosure Sheet (October 2023) covers 19 named cards, all on the same Tawarruq + Wakalah + Wa'd structure. The commodity is crude palm oil (CPO), rubber, or another Shariah-compliant commodity. Affin's Islamic and conventional cards share marketing names (AVANCE, DUO, DUO+, INVIKTA, World Mastercard), so the '-i' distinction is documentary rather than in the brand name — a trap for anyone matching by card name alone. One card, AFFIN AURA, carries a first-year effective profit rate of 8% p.a. and a best-tier rate of 9% p.a., far below the 15% floor every other Malaysian issuer uses, and is the cheapest Islamic card profit rate located in this research. AFFIN Visa Business Platinum appears in the same PDS but is a business, not consumer, product.
