What makes this card Islamic

CIMB Islamic builds this card on a Ujrah contract. The bank charges you a fixed fee for the service of giving you a card, rather than a charge that grows with the money you owe.

This card was withdrawn BEFORE CIMB's Ujrah-to-Tawarruq conversion of 1 January 2026, and it is NOT named in CIMB's conversion FAQ list of covered cards (which names only CIMB PETRONAS Visa Platinum-i, CIMB PETRONAS Visa Infinite-i, CIMB Platinum-i Mastercard and CIMB Preferred Visa Infinite-i). It therefore ended its life under the Ujrah concept that governed all CIMB Islamic credit cards until 31 December 2025. Its own T&C (Version 18 September 2024) refers to 'Yearly Facility Charges', consistent with the Ujrah/fee-based structure. NOTE: the Ujrah attribution is inferred from CIMB's own statement that ALL CIMB Islamic credit cards were under Ujrah before 1 January 2026, not from a card-specific Shariah declaration — hence confidence 'partial'.

Approved by CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad Shariah Committee, under the supervision of Bank Negara Malaysia.
