Every Shariah-compliant card HSBC Amanah Malaysia currently offers, with the contract behind each one and the fee schedule it came from.
A fully Islamic bank — every product it offers is Shariah-compliant.
HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad is a SEPARATELY LICENSED Islamic bank under IFSA 2013, not a window of HSBC Bank Malaysia — it appears in BNM's own list of 16 licensed Islamic banks. It is one of only two foreign-parent licensed Islamic banks in Malaysia (the other being Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad) and it is the ONLY one of the two that still issues a credit card-i. Its three cards are UJRAH-based, not tawarruq — the PDS says plainly 'This is a Credit Card-i which the cardholder will be utilising HSBC Amanah's services and facilities and therefore pays service fee (ujrah) for it.' That makes HSBC Amanah the clearest counter-example to the market-wide 2025-2026 migration to tawarruq: while CIMB Islamic, Public Islamic and BSN were converting Ujrah to Tawarruq, HSBC Amanah's published card PDS remained on ujrah. Its ujrah is also unusual in being expressed as a fixed monthly RINGGIT ceiling (RM1,125 or RM2,250 per month) rebated down to an actual usage-based fee, which is the most legible ceiling-versus-effective illustration in the whole Malaysian market. UNRESOLVED: HSBC Amanah marketing material describes 'Murabahah via a Tawarruq arrangement' with the bank as the cardholder's sole and exclusive agent; that description could not be reconciled against the card PDS in this pass and is flagged rather than merged.
