MTB Islamic, brand name 'MTB Yaqeen', is the Islamic banking window of Mutual Trust Bank PLC. Its MTB Islamic Ujrah Card comes in three Visa tiers (Gold, Platinum, Signature) and is the most explicitly documented QARD + UJRAH structure in this dataset: the card's own Terms & Conditions define a 'Qard Limit', charge an 'Excess Limit Fee' for exceeding it, and state that a cash advance 'shall constitute a Qard transaction between Cardholder and the Bank', while the Schedule of Charges defines the 'Monthly Maintenance Fee (MMF)/Ujrah' as charged 'on continuous services & privileges provided'. It publishes its full Shariah Supervisory Committee membership — one of only two banks in this dataset to do so. NOT A REBADGE: MTB's conventional card schedule prices an explicit 25% per annum interest rate and explains that interest accrues on the unpaid balance; the Ujrah schedule has no interest line. TWO PUBLISHED CONTRADICTIONS TO CARRY FORWARD: (1) the product page says the MMF is fixed 'irrespective of the cards outstanding balance' while its own fee table and the Schedule of Charges price it as '2% on overdue outstanding, not more than BDT X'; (2) the product page advertises 'No Late Payment Fee.' while T&C clause 5(C) provides for 'a flat Late Payment Charge'. Also note the takaful caveat: the bank may source cover from a conventional insurer 'in absence of well rated Takaful Operator'. Separate reduced fee schedules exist for MTB Islamic Privilege and payroll customers.
