It is the successor institution to Al Baraka Bank Ltd, which Bangladesh Bank records as 'the second Islamic bank of the country', established in 1987. PROOF: its full 14-page Schedule of Charges has a readable text layer, and every one of roughly 30 card hits in it is a debit-card line. There is no annual fee by credit tier, no minimum payment, no profit or markup rate on a card, no late payment fee, no over-limit fee, no cash advance fee, and no card tier names anywhere in the document. The only dedicated card block is headed 'Debit Card'.
