Ajman Bank builds this card on a Qard Hasan + Ujrah contract. The bank lends you the money and you pay back exactly what you borrowed, not a penny more.

Ajman Bank's Key Facts Statement: "'ROADMILES' Credit Card is structured as per the Islamic principles of Qard where a fixed monthly fee is charged." The bank's tariff groups these under 'Monthly Fee Based Cards' with a flat monthly membership fee rather than a percentage profit rate. The monthly fee is applied only when the total outstanding is not paid in full by the payment due date.

Approved by Internal Shariah Supervision Committee (ISSC), under the supervision of Central Bank of the UAE.

Before you apply

  • This is a Qard (interest-free loan) plus a FIXED MONTHLY FEE, not a percentage profit rate. The fee is charged whenever the total outstanding is not paid in full by the due date — so on a small unpaid balance the effective cost is enormous, and on a large one it is comparatively cheap.
  • Roadmiles no longer appears anywhere in Ajman Bank's website navigation or on any live product page; it survives only in the May 2025 Key Facts Statement and the Tariff of Charges. Treat availability to new applicants as unconfirmed.
  • Payment due date is up to 22 days from the statement date (Islamic Covered Cards get up to 25).
  • Foreign currency processing fee is 4% on Visa — the highest of any Ajman consumer card.
  • Fees are quoted exclusive of 5% VAT.
