Who AlRayan Bank are

A fully Islamic bank — every product it offers is Shariah-compliant.

Masraf Al Rayan trades publicly as AlRayan Bank. Its credit card contract is the clearest Shariah statement of any Qatari issuer: 'Al Rayan Islamic Credit Card is a financing formula accredited by Shari'ah Board allows obtaining goods, services and/or cash by way of International Murabaha' - and the T&C spells out the mechanism (T&C 3.6: pay in full and no Murabaha takes place; 3.7: pay only the minimum and the Bank sells commodities to the cardholder for the remaining balance in one one-month instalment). Its charity clause is a flat QAR 50 'Commitment to donate fee (In the event of delay in paying the installments due for financing)' rather than QIB's 2% of balance. Note two structural quirks: the first two supplementary cards are free (QIB charges QAR 100 each), but cash withdrawal costs 4% or a minimum QAR 20 whether inside or outside Qatar. Only Visa Platinum, Visa Signature, the Premier card and the Qatar Airways co-brands have public product pages; Classic, Gold and standard Infinite appear only in the retail tariff, so their benefits are unpublished. AlRayan's site also references Al Khaliji entities following its merger with Al Khaliji Commercial Bank, which was not verified in this session.
