Dukhan Bank is the successor to Barwa Bank: Barwa Bank merged with International Bank of Qatar (ibq) with effect from 21 April 2019 - the first bank merger in Qatar's history - and the combined bank rebranded as Dukhan Bank Q.P.S.C. in October 2020. Total assets QAR 114.2 billion as at 30 June 2024. Its card pricing is the structural outlier in Qatar: there is NO percentage profit rate. Dukhan charges a FIXED MONTHLY FEE (Ujrah) scaled to the approved credit limit, charged only when the minimum-payment option is used and waived entirely when the balance is settled in full. Card tier is therefore a function of the approved limit rather than a separate application. Dukhan's own credit card terms state the limit is approved on the Islamic concepts of 'Qard Al Hasan' and 'Ujrah' and that a portion of late fees is channelled to the Bank's charity fund; that terms page returned HTTP 403/500 to every direct fetch attempted in this session, so the wording was recovered from a search engine's index of the bank's own page and needs re-verification. IMPORTANT CONFLICT: the Credit Cards product page and the April 2025 Tariff Guide publish two different monthly-fee schedules that differ by exactly 10% throughout (300/500/600/700/900/1,000/1,500/2,000/2,500 versus 330/550/660/770/990/1,100/1,650/2,200/2,750). Both are the bank's own documents.
