What makes this card Islamic

FAB Islamic builds this card on a Murabahah contract. The bank buys the thing you want, then sells it to you at a stated cost plus a stated profit, payable later.

Commodity Murabaha / Tawarruq with an internal Wakalah investment account (FAB ISSC pronouncement; T&C Condition 5.1). Monthly Credit Card Profit = Murabaha Monthly Payment minus Expected Wakala Return, reducible further only by a discretionary Bonus/Rebate.

Approved by FAB Internal Shariah Supervision Committee (ISSC), under the supervision of Central Bank of the UAE.

The cap is the part that matters

10,000 Etihad Guest Miles per month across primary plus supplementary cards linked to one Etihad Guest number (excluding one-time joining miles), or spending up to the primary credit card limit, whichever is lower. Same 10,000/month cap applies when enrolled in MAP.

Other benefits

  • Everyday categories (supermarket, utilities, fuel, education, government) earn only 1.5 miles per AED 10, well below the 2.0 headline.
  • The Miles Accelerator Program costs AED 250 a month and does NOT raise the 10,000 miles monthly cap.
