What makes this card Islamic

The bank does not name the contract

We could not find Dubai Islamic Bank stating which Shariah contract this card is built on. That is not the same as saying the card is non-compliant, but it does mean you cannot check the reasoning for yourself. Ask the bank which structure it uses, and for its Shariah board’s approval, before you apply.

Approved by Internal Shari'ah Supervision Committee (ISSC), under the supervision of Central Bank of the UAE.

What it costs

Every figure below comes from Dubai Islamic Bank’s own published documents. Where the bank does not publish a number we say so rather than estimate it.

Annual fee
No annual feeAnnual fee as published in DIB's Noor Bank card-migration FAQ (2020). Not repriced in any current DIB document.source
Profit rate
Not publishedNo current DIB document prices the legacy Al Islami range. The 3.69% monthly Salam delivery rate published in the current KFS applies to the Prime, Emirates Skywards, Consumer Cashback, My Home and SHAMS ranges.
Cash withdrawal
The current Schedule of Charges heading reads 'Other Fee & Charges for all Covered & Charge Cards', so the current range-wide fees may still apply to serviced legacy cards, but DIB does not name the Al Islami products in that table. Left null rather than assumed.
Late payment
Not published

Before you apply

  • Closed to new applications -- no product page, no listing entry, not in the current Schedule of Charges cards table
  • Legacy covered card; current DIB covered cards are Salam-based at 3.69% monthly

Can you get it?

Other conditions
Named in DIB's own 2020 Noor Bank card-migration FAQ annual-fee table but absent from the current cards listing, the cards comparator, the Schedule of Charges cards table and the current Key Facts Statement (which lists only Prime, Emirates Skywards, Consumer Cashback, My Home and SHAMS). DIB still hosts a 'Terms & Conditions of Al Islami Covered Card' PDF and the current KFS still defines a 'Monthly Subscription Fee ... for the Al Islami Covered Card', so existing cards appear to be serviced, but the product is closed to new applications. Fee shown is as published in 2020 and may be stale.

Where these figures come from

Last checked against Dubai Islamic Bank’s published documents on 2026-08-17. Banks change fees without notice, so treat the bank’s own document as the final word, not this page.

  • “Card Type / Annual Fees: Al Islami Platinum Charge Card AED 1,050 | Al Islami Gold Charge Card AED 420 | Al Islami Classic Charge Card AED 315 | Al Islami Infinite Credit Card Free | Al Islami Platinum Plus Credit Card Free | Al Islami Platinum Credit Card Free | Al Islami Gold Premium Credit Card Free | Al Islami Gold Credit Card Free | Al Islami Classic Credit Card Free -- DIB 'FAQS FOR CARDS CUSTOMERS: Your Noor Bank card replacement process' (2020), Q12, p.2-3”
  • “Charge Card is also a type of Covered Card where customer has to settle the Total Amount Due by the Due Date. There is no balance carry-forward facility in a Charge Card. -- DIB Covered Cards Key Facts Statement (Aug 2025), p.2”

What we could not verify

Dubai Islamic Bank does not publish network, minimum income, minimum age, maximum age, documents required, monthly profit rate, annual profit rate, reward type, reward headline, reward detail, reward caps, key benefits, best for, apply, product page, schedule of charges, shariah contract, shariah certificate, takaful cover, supplementary card fee, late payment fee, over-limit fee, cash withdrawal fee, foreign currency markup, replacement card fee for this card, so we have left those blank rather than guess. If you need one of them, ask the bank directly and hold them to the answer in writing.
