What makes this card Islamic

The bank does not name the contract

We could not find Bank AlJazira stating which Shariah contract this card is built on. That is not the same as saying the card is non-compliant, but it does mean you cannot check the reasoning for yourself. Ask the bank which structure it uses, and for its Shariah board’s approval, before you apply.

Approved by Shariah Board (supported by the bank's Shariah Group), under the supervision of Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

What it costs

Every figure below comes from Bank AlJazira’s own published documents. Where the bank does not publish a number we say so rather than estimate it.

Annual fee
SAR 75Initial Disclosure fee grid, Arabic column 'بطاقات العملات' (currency cards). NOTE: the bank's own product listing on the credit cards page shows 'Visa Multi-currency' priced at SAR 50. The two bank-published figures disagree; SAR 75 is taken from the fee disclosure PDF, which is the SAMA-format pricing document.source
Profit rate
Not publishedNo monthly profit margin, annual profit margin or APR is printed for the currency-cards column of the Initial Disclosure.
Cash withdrawal
'35 [SAR] per transaction' cash withdrawal fee in the currency-cards column.

What you get back

Other benefits

  • Multi-currency card for spending abroad without a per-transaction FX markup on loaded currencies
  • Rewards, protection, loyalty rewards, hotel and car rental offers

Before you apply

  • The bank publishes two different annual fees for this card (SAR 75 in the fee disclosure PDF, SAR 50 in the website product listing). Confirm before relying on either.
  • SAR 35 flat cash withdrawal fee per transaction.
  • The Initial Disclosure notes '2% is added to transactions in currencies that are not available in the card or does not have sufficient balance.'

Where these figures come from

Last checked against Bank AlJazira’s published documents on 2026-08-17. Banks change fees without notice, so treat the bank’s own document as the final word, not this page.

  • “Annual Fee* ... 75 [SAR] (بطاقات العملات / currency cards column) - ajb Credit Cards Initial Disclosure”
  • “2% is added to transactions in currencies that are not available in the card or does not have sufficient balance. - ajb Credit Cards Initial Disclosure footnote”
  • “Visa Multi-currency | range , rewards, protection, loyalty rewards, hotel and car rental offers ... price 50 SAR - product ItemList JSON-LD on the AlJazira credit cards page”

What we could not verify

Bank AlJazira does not publish shariah contract, supplementary card fee, monthly profit rate, annual profit rate, late payment fee, over-limit fee, foreign currency markup, replacement card fee, takaful cover, minimum income, minimum age, maximum age, eligibility conditions, documents required, reward caps, shariah certificate, apr for this card, so we have left those blank rather than guess. If you need one of them, ask the bank directly and hold them to the answer in writing.
