Brunei's dominant bank and, on the evidence gathered, the only issuer of Shariah-compliant credit cards in the country. Five consumer credit cards (Classic Mastercard, Gold Mastercard, Visa Gold, Visa Platinum, World Mastercard) plus a Corporate Credit Card, alongside debit, World Debit and a virtual prepaid vCard. The whole range runs on AL-WAKALAH BIL UJRAH — agency with a fee — which is structurally different from Indonesia's Kafalah + Qardh + Ijarah and from the Bai' al-Inah and Tawarruq structures common in Malaysia and the Gulf. The recurring charge is an Administration Fee of 1.5% a month applied to the CARD LIMIT, offset by a DISCRETIONARY Ibra' (rebate) that the bank may grant on payment pattern and limit utilisation, and which never applies to cash advances. Note the Corporate Credit Card record is thin and secondary.
