What makes this card Islamic

STC Bank builds this card on a Murabahah contract. The bank buys the thing you want, then sells it to you at a stated cost plus a stated profit, payable later.

STC Bank's Credit Cards Terms and Conditions state that card operation follows controls approved by the Bank's Shariah committee and that the bank provides Shariah-compliant financing under the MURABAHA structure, depositing it into a designated separate card account that serves as security for the obligations arising from the Murabaha transaction. This is the same Murabaha-into-a-segregated-account model Al Rajhi uses, not the Ujrah fixed-fee model dominant in the rest of the Gulf.

Approved by STC Bank Shariah Committee, under the supervision of Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

What it costs

Every figure below comes from STC Bank’s own published documents. Where the bank does not publish a number we say so rather than estimate it.

Annual fee
SAR 10,000Annual membership fee, excluding VAT. Charged on initial issuance and on each annual renewal. Not charged while the card remains unactivated. STC Bank publishes one fee table covering all four card tiers. In the extracted PDF the label column and value column are offset by one row (a common bilingual-PDF layout artifact); the mapping used here is the only internally consistent reading: annual membership fees = the four tier amounts, international transaction fees = 2%, local POS and online = free, reissuance = SAR 15, cash withdrawal/transfer to current account = 3% capped at SAR 75, e-wallet top-up = free, balance inquiry = SAR 1.5, invalid dispute = SAR 25, supplementary card = the four tier amounts.source
Supplementary card
SAR 500Supplementary card fee for this tier, excluding VAT.source
Profit rate
2.75% a month on the outstanding balanceThe Terms and Conditions state a 'Profit Margin 2.75%' in the fee table and clause 10-1 confirms a MONTHLY profit rate is applied to any unpaid balance, so 2.75% is recorded as the monthly rate. STC Bank publishes no APR figure in this document, so no annual rate is recorded. Profit is avoided entirely if the full balance is paid on or before the due date.source
Cash withdrawal
3% of the transaction value, capped at SAR 75, for cash withdrawal or transfer to a current account. Electronic wallet top-up is free. Cash withdrawal may not exceed 30% of the credit limit.

What you get back

  • Local cashback and international cashback are both listed as card benefits, but STC Bank publishes no earn rate or cap for either — the comparison table is rendered client-side and the served HTML carries no values.

Other benefits

  • 24-hour concierge
  • Airport transfer service
  • Airport lounge access
  • Multi-trip travel insurance
  • DragonPass Dine & Fly airport dining programme

Before you apply

  • STC Bank's benefit comparison table is rendered client-side; the cashback percentages and lounge visit counts per tier are NOT in the served page, so no earn rate is recorded here.
  • The 2.75% monthly profit rate is higher than Al Rajhi's 2.5% and above the top of Alinma's published 1.9%-2.5% range.
  • Local POS and online purchases are free and e-wallet top-up is free, but cash withdrawal still costs 3% capped at SAR 75.
