Who Standard Chartered Saadiq are

An Islamic window: a Shariah-compliant division inside a conventional bank.

Saadiq is Standard Chartered's Islamic banking window in Pakistan and is the only Islamic WINDOW of a conventional bank found in Pakistan to issue a Shariah-compliant credit card. Exactly one Islamic credit card is currently listed in the bank's own credit-card navigation: the Saadiq Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, using a Commodity Murabaha structure. Two other Saadiq card URLs are still indexed by search engines — /saadiq/credit-cards/saadiq-worldmiles-credit-card/ returns HTTP 404, and /saadiq/credit-cards/saadiq-platinum-credit-card/ returns 200 but is a thin legacy page not linked from the current Islamic Cards menu. Standard Chartered publishes a signed Shariah Board pronouncement (fatwa) specifically for the credit card structure — the only Pakistani issuer in this dataset to do so. Dr. Sheikh Nizam Yaquby is named on that pronouncement; the full board membership was not established. The founding date of the Pakistan legal entity was not verified.
